For organizations that have to defend their decisions
Every organization that awards prizes faces the same question: will this result hold up to an appeal? Thonie answers with a record.
- Corporate innovation teams
- Internal hackathons and open innovation calls; jurors from business units, decisions documented well enough to go to the board.
- Public institutions
- Competitions bound by specifications: four-eyes unlocking, reasoned rejections, appeal periods and minutes.
- Municipalities
- Youth and city competitions; registration, on-site finals and check-in at one address.
- Universities, TTOs and technology parks
- Idea marathons and pre-incubation screening; blind jury and panel decision in one flow.
- Communities
- Volunteer-run hackathons; two open events at a time and unlimited participants on the free plan.
How it works
Eight steps from call to prize. At the end of each step it is clear what is locked.
Step 1: Set up
Pick a template: schedule, criteria and rules come ready.
Step 2: Publish
The event page opens at your organization's address.
Step 3: Take registrations
Privacy notice and explicit consent are separate; eligibility rules run on their own.
Step 4: Form teams
Participants form, find and invite teams.
Step 5: Collect submissions
Submissions lock at the deadline; jurors see the version from the moment of locking.
Step 6: Evaluate
Jurors score with a rubric and lock; conflicts of interest are declared.
Step 7: Announce
Preliminary results, appeal window, final results.
Step 8: Document
Panel minutes are finalized with a SHA-256 digest; the audit log cannot change.
With records, not adjectives
Fairness is not shown with a feature list. Next to each item is the evidence you will see on screen.
Locked scores
Once a juror locks a score, nobody can change it silently. A change needs a reasoned request, an approval and goes on record.
Panel minutes
Result minutes are versioned; the finalized version is sealed with a SHA-256 digest. The digest tells you whether the printed copy matches the screen.
Objection
An appeal window opens after preliminary results. Each appeal gets a reasoned decision; if accepted, the re-evaluation round goes on record.
KVKK
Privacy notice and explicit consent are separate steps; consent is tied to a version. Every export with personal data requires a reason and is written to the audit log.
Open pricing
Price ranges are on the site; the exact amount is in the quote. Core features are never held back for paid plans.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask most before buying.
Who is responsible for personal data?
For event data, your organization is the data controller; Fauna is the data processor, and the Data Processing Agreement is accepted when each organization is opened. For account data, Fauna is the data controller.
Where is the data stored?
The database and files are kept on Cloudflare infrastructure in the European Union region over encrypted connections; emails are sent through Resend. Hosting in Türkiye is not available today. The region, the data processed and the basis for cross-border transfer are on the Security and KVKK and Subprocessors pages.
How do I show the jury scored fairly?
Once locked, a score cannot be changed silently; a change needs a reasoned request and goes on record. In a blind stage jurors never receive the team name or members. The result is written to the panel minutes with its digest.
Who pays tax on prizes?
The template rules ask you to state who bears the tax. This is not legal advice; consult your organization's accountant.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan has 2 open events at a time with unlimited participants and jurors; no card required. Locked scores, minutes, appeals and the KVKK workflow are not held back for paid plans.
Do participants pay?
No. Participants never pay, and participant data is never sold for recruiting or any other purpose.
